Solutions to connect WIDDER Heated Clothing
 
If you own a Widder vest or chaps, finding the necessary connectors, wiring  and controller is pretty much impossible. But changing the 2 prong Widder plug to a standard DC Coax connector, as used in almost all modern heated gear, is not all that difficult.
Start with this DC Coax adapter, cut off the SAE (male/female plug on left) connector and attach each wire to a side of the Widder plug in your garment.

The best way is to solder each wire and cover it with heat-shrink tubing for a clean and durable install.

Now your Widder garment is ready to connect to any modern Coax controller or adapter.

You will also need a controller, often wrongly referred to as a thermostat, to control the heat output of your garment.
